About
Variant Analysis Scientist III is a full-time remote position responsible for variant interpretation, analyzing clinical and genetic information, and developing genetic content for various disorders.
Responsibilities
- Perform variant interpretation and generate clinical reports using in-house genetic evidence systems
- Analyze clinical and genetic information from literature, databases, and patient records
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for variant interpretation and clinical reporting
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Genetics, Molecular Genetics, or Human Genetics with 1+ years of variant interpretation experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience
- Experience in a CLIA diagnostic laboratory is preferred
- Experience in cytogenomics/cytogenetics or exome variant analysis is preferred
- Familiarity with next-generation sequencing and advanced copy number detection methods
- Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
