System Integration & Vehicle Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Integration and commissioning of ECUs in test vehicles
• Calibration and functional testing based on structured drive catalogues
• Execution of vehicle tests on proving grounds and public roads
• Documentation and defect reporting
• Updating test specifications and test cases
• Logging, analysis, and validation of vehicle dynamics and control behaviour

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Solid understanding of vehicle functions and systems
• Experience in system commissioning and vehicle preparation
• Familiarity with drivability parameters (powertrain and propulsion)
• Strong skills in functional testing and test specification updates
• Hands-on experience in calibration and parameter changes

Experience Required

• Proven experience with test vehicles and vehicles testing environments
• Conducting test drives and analysing system behaviour
• Extended knowledge in in-vehicle system integration and testing (not to be mixed up with standard System Integration testing in an automotive company)
• Extended experience in performing test drives
• Base Software experience (Postman)
• Calibration & commissioning experience and system knowledge in automotive context

Test Experience in one of the domains is must:

• Charging & Energy or High-voltage or Battery Management (BMS)
• Vehicle dynamics (LAC, LOC, ACC, LDW, aLDW)
• Chassis (Motion control, ESP.ESC)
• Comfort & Body functions (HCP4, Climate control & thermal management, etc )

Tools & Technologies

• Diagnostic & flashing tools (OBD, CANoe, ADB, , logging)
• Measurement & analysis tools (INCA, MDA, CANape, Wireshark, CP tool)
• Test management & documentation (CodeBeamer, Confluence, Jira)
• High-performance computing & log analysis

Language Skills

• English: Working proficiency
• German: B2 or better
