About the Role
The Site Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising daily operational and technical activities related to vehicle testing programs at our local site. This position’s responsibilities include supervising resources/drivers, coordinating safety procedures, and workload.
Responsibilities
- First point of contact for assigned site/location.
- Coordinating and monitoring the daily vehicle test activities on-site
- Organize staff schedules based on workload to maximize efficiency.
- Ensuring vehicles are correctly prepared according to the test specification (vehicle configuration, software versions, sensors, calibration status)
- Checking availability and functionality of test equipment (data loggers, measurement systems, GPS devices, CAN tools, calibration tools)
- Coordinating installation and removal of measurement hardware (sensors, cameras, ECUs, wiring harnesses)
- Managing technical documentation (test plans, test reports, issue logs, change requests)
- Monitoring and troubleshooting basic technical issues during testing (e.g., equipment failure, vehicle faults, sensor malfunction)
- Coordinating with workshops/technicians for repairs or modifications
- Ensuring correct data collection and storage (data upload, file naming, reporting structure)
- Supporting compliance with safety and test track procedures
- Handling site accidents per established accident protocol.
- Recommending changes to operations or procedures to increase efficiency throughout your site.
- Effectively communicate within the organization as the liaise for your assigned site/location.
- Maintain communication with customers and suppliers
- Participate in weekly meetings with customers
Skills
- Technical background in automotive, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or similar (not always mandatory but often preferred)
- Basic understanding of vehicle systems (powertrain, braking, ADAS, electronics)
- Familiarity with testing tools
- Strong organization + ability to work hands-on in a workshop/test environment
- Ability to communicate with engineers, drivers, suppliers, and the customer
- German mother tongue, English spoken and written
