Role Overview
The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission‑critical applications, delivering end‑to‑end technical solutions, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud‑based solutions. The role is hybrid, with an expectation to work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team for design and development of complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration for building efficient, scalable, and robust cloud subsystems.
• Review and evaluate designs, test plans, and develop code for compliance with cloud design and development guidelines and standards.
• Provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate risks.
• Represent the engineering team in various technical forums and provide guidance and mentoring to less‑experienced team members.
• Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.
• Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data‑processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
• Typically 7‑10 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Golang, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and containerized, Kubernetes‑managed environments.
• Experience designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into an overall architecture.
• Ability to evaluate forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and executing test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures and design proposals at senior management levels.
