Vision & Robotics Engineer – Machine Vision & Controls

We are seeking a Vision & Robotics Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced vision-based automation solutions for industrial environments. This is a hands-on, project-driven role focused on delivering fully integrated systems combining machine vision, robotics, and controls.

What You’ll Do

• Design and program machine vision systems for inspection, measurement, and verification
• Integrate vision systems with PLCs, robotics, and custom automation equipment
• Develop vision-guided robotic solutions for high-speed production applications
• Configure and optimize cameras, optics, and lighting for performance and reliability
• Support system commissioning, debugging, and customer acceptance testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver turnkey automation solutions

Technical Environment

• Vision: Cognex, Keyence, Matrox Imaging
• Robotics: ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Denso
• Controls: PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks
• Programming: C/C++ and/or JavaScript
• Applications: 2D/3D vision, barcode/OCR, inspection and verification systems

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of machine vision and systems integration experience
• Strong background in industrial automation and controls
• Experience in OEM or custom machine build environments preferred
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skills
• Ability to travel (approximately 20–25%)

Compensation & Benefits

• $80,000 – $135,000 + bonus
