Call for Submissions
This April, in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and in solidarity with Denim Day NYC, we’re curating a special issue that engages with a persistent and troubling question:
How is women’s dress interpreted, and misinterpreted, through a socially conditioned lens?
We’re inviting writers, artists, editors, and creators to help unpack the narratives, biases, and double standards that continue to shape public discourse. From sharp satire to thoughtful analysis, we welcome work that questions harmful assumptions and sparks meaningful conversation.
What we’re looking for:
- Essays & opinion pieces
- Reported features
- Creative or experimental work
- Visual art
- Copy editing & proofreading support
Humor is welcome—but not required. Whether your approach is analytical, personal, or creative, we value clarity, insight, and intention.
Contributors may also choose to engage with thinkers across psychology, sociology, and philosophy to deepen the conversation and provide context
If you’re interested in challenging outdated narratives and contributing to a broader cultural dialogue, we’d love to hear from you.
