The Role: VP Product
Position Overview
The VP Product will be responsible for overseeing and leading the Product team. This role requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape, excellent communication skills, and the ability to align partnership goals with our company’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Roadmap Ownership: Lead the development, prioritization, and execution of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company strategy and customer needs.
- AI & Innovation Integration: Identify opportunities for AI and emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities, improve outcomes, and differentiate offerings.
- Process Improvement: Establish and optimize product management processes, frameworks, and metrics to ensure efficient and high-quality product delivery.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive product execution and delivery.
- Revenue Contribution: Drive product strategies that directly support growth, adoption, and monetization objectives.
- Market Insight: Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to inform product decisions and strategic direction.
- Team Mentorship: Lead with a growth mindset to mentor, coach and grow product team members
- Deeply fluent in the pharmaceutical industry, including how pharma companies evaluate and buy technology for patient support and HCP programs
- Knowledgeable about the pharma regulatory landscape — FDA, HIPAA, EMA, and how compliance requirements shape product decisions
- Able to articulate the competitive positioning with specificity and strategic direction
- Building and maintaining strategic relationships with pharma clients at an innovation and partnership level
- Tracking market shifts, identifying whitespace opportunities, and evaluating longer-horizon bets
- Supporting early-stage sales conversations where the pitch is vision-led and strategic, not feature-specific
- Working with internal R&D to ensure go-to-market success
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in partnership management, business development, or sales within the pharmaceutical or digital health industry.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape, including market dynamics and regulatory considerations.
- Proven track record of successful partnership development and negotiation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM and project management tools.
Skills
- Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Prowess with Powerpoint and crafting professional quality presentations
- Comfortable with public speaking, extensive networking and relationship building, with some travel expected
- Technically-savvy and adept at using a variety of software programs
