Warehouse & Planning Manager

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (Essential)
• Valid Driver’s License & Own Vehicle
• 5 - 8 years’ experience in Materials Planning and Warehouse Management
• Industry experience OEM, Heavy Engineering, Mining or Manufacturing
• ERP systems experience such as Infor/Baan, SAP, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of MRP planning, inventory control, and Warehouse Management best practices
• Excellent leadership skills to train, develop, mentor and performance manage staff
• Safe Warehouse environment with zero harm and full regulatory compliance
• Proactive identification and mitigation of operational risks in the Warehouse

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective inbound, storage, picking, packing and dispatch processes
• Implement and sustain best practice systems in Warehouse (e.g. Kanban, lean Warehousing principles etc.)
• Ensure inventory accuracy with full alignment between physical stock and ERP records
• Optimized inventory levels balancing availability, working capital, and obsolescence risk
• Improved stock turnover and reduced excess and slow-moving stock
• Reliable and actionable materials planning balanced with customer demand, forecasting and inventory management
• Reduced stock-outs and improved on-time material availability
• Balanced supply and demand across the value chain
• High visibility of operations through accurate, real-time reporting
• Effective processing of customer orders and service operations
• Compliance with ISO standards and internal quality requirements
• Cross-functional support and collaboration with Procurement, Logistics, Customer Support, Projects and Service Centre teams
• Culture of continuous improvement and accountability
