Web Content Writer (WordPress & SEO) - Part-time

We are seeking a detail-oriented Web Content Specialist to support website content creation, editing, and publishing. The ideal candidate will have experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal, strong web writing and copy-editing skills, and knowledge of SEO and accessibility best practices.

This role will be responsible for writing, editing, and uploading content—including text, images, and graphics—while ensuring it is properly formatted, tagged for accessibility, and optimized for search engines.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and publish web content including text, graphics, and images on the website.
• Upload and manage content using content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
• Use WordPress page builders to format and edit web pages.
• Ensure all website content follows SEO best practices, including proper tagging and keyword optimization.
• Apply accessibility standards, including alt-text and image tagging.
• Assist in uploading content submitted by internal team members via forms or content submission tools.
• Ensure content is properly formatted, proofread, and ready for publishing on the live website.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent website content and messaging.
• Perform copy-editing and quality checks before publishing content.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
• Experience with web editing and content publishing.
• Strong copy-editing and proofreading skills.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards, including alt-text and image tagging.
• Familiarity with WordPress page builders or similar web editing tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple content updates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with digital marketing or website content teams.
• Familiarity with content submission tools such as Airtable forms or similar platforms.
• Basic understanding of website structure, HTML, or digital publishing workflows.
