Airbus Helicopters in Marignane, a vibrant hub in the south of France, is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic Aircraft Architecture and Product Policy Department. This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of our transnational Weight and Balance team (11 members across Marignane and Donauwörth), contributing to the development of cutting-edge helicopters and ensuring the seamless delivery of our production aircraft.

Your Mission

• Manage mass properties across the entire Airbus Helicopters range.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments including Design Office, Performance, Integration Architect, Chief Engineering, Offers, Production, Program.
• Manage legacy fleet and potentially new programs.
• Ensure customer mission requirements are met through accurate weight and balance management during production aircraft delivery.
• Track design modifications and report their impact on helicopter weight and balance.
• Challenge designers to optimize part design from a weight and balance perspective.
• Create clear and concise technical documentation and notes.
• Participate in official aircraft weighings and validate results against calculations.
• Provide weight and balance expertise to support responses to calls for tenders.
• Contribute to capitalization of business knowledge and harmonization of processes and tools.
• Manage subcontracting activities within area of responsibility.
• Maintain strong synergies within the department and across the company.
• Provide technical leadership and support to the team during critical phases of helicopter development.

Your Profile

• Minimum of 5 years of higher education or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of confirmed experience in Weight and Balance / Mass Properties.
• Mandatory additional expertise in vehicle systems design and stress.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Demonstrated autonomy, strong organizational skills, and rigor.
• Proactive and quick learner with passion for sharing knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and ability to thrive in complex environments.
• Interest in developing further expertise in weight and balance.
• Proficiency in Windows and Google Workspace.
• Requires security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
