You will actively shape technical direction decisions and work closely with Application and Data Intelligence teams.

Responsibilities

• Operation and further development of a hybrid infrastructure consisting of GCP services and bare-metal servers.
• Automation of infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Maintenance and evolution of configuration management standards with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
• Evaluation of workloads regarding their suitability for cloud-native or bare-metal environments.
• Ensuring system stability and implementing monitoring solutions across the entire hybrid environment.
• Optimization and operation of CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.
• Development and submission of RFCs to our architecture board, consisting of the CTO and Department Heads.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of the Linux ecosystem, not just at the cloud abstraction level.
• Proficient use of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible) in production environments.
• Solid understanding of network architectures in a hybrid context (VPN, Routing).
• Experience operating public cloud resources (preferably GCP).
• Experience operating CI/CD (Jenkins and others).
• Ability to objectively evaluate technical architectures beyond market trends.
• Focus on technical deep-dives and the ability to understand complex systems down to the operating system level.
