Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a financial services-focused organization, is seeking a skilled Workday Project Manager. This role is responsible for leading governance and delivery oversight for an Adaptive Planning optimization initiative integrated with Workday Financials, while coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and third-party implementation partners. The ideal candidate brings strong PMO discipline, enterprise financial systems implementation experience, and the ability to drive post-go-live stabilization and roadmap planning initiatives.

Job Duties

  • Lead project governance activities for an enterprise Adaptive Planning optimization initiative
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, risks, issues, and executive-level status reporting
  • Coordinate cross-functional business, finance, and technology stakeholders throughout project delivery
  • Partner closely with third-party implementation teams to ensure alignment on scope, deliverables, and execution
  • Oversee audit readiness activities, including documentation, traceability, artifact management, and compliance reporting
  • Facilitate UAT planning, testing coordination, defect tracking, and post-production stabilization efforts
  • Drive change management and communication planning across impacted business groups
  • Support roadmap planning and long-term sustainment activities for enterprise financial planning platforms

Skills Required

  • 7+ years of enterprise Project Management experience within formal PMO environments
  • Must have financial implementation experience
  • Experience leading financial systems, ERP, or enterprise planning platform implementations
  • Strong governance experience, including risk management, audit compliance, artifact collection, and executive reporting
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale cross-functional stakeholders and steering committees
  • Exposure to Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning, or comparable enterprise financial platforms
  • Experience coordinating UAT, end-to-end testing, and post-go-live stabilization activities
  • Strong understanding of enterprise change management and delivery governance practices
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Desired

  • Adaptive Planning implementation or optimization experience
  • Workday Financials project exposure
  • FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning domain experience
  • Experience supporting enterprise integrations across financial systems
  • Previous experience working alongside Deloitte or other major implementation partners
  • Experience supporting contract-to-hire or rapidly evolving enterprise environments
  • PMP, Agile, or related Project Management certifications
  • Experience recovering or stabilizing enterprise initiatives with governance challenges
