Werkstudent / Studentische Hilfskraft (m/w/d) – Data Analysis & Experimental Design
in the field of optical in-line process monitoring
About Us
The Product Support Lab supports production, quality assurance, and sales in the analysis, optimization, and further development of our manufacturing processes.
For the correlation and optimization of laser welding data from optical in-line control, we are seeking dedicated student support with an interest in data analysis, process understanding, and experimental validation.
Your Tasks
- Analysis and evaluation of laser welding data from optical in-line control systems, as well as comparison with manual optical findings and rework data
- Identification of patterns, correlations, and error indicators in real production data
- Development of proposals for optimal process and test parameters to achieve maximum sensitivity with minimal false positives
- Planning, execution, and evaluation of practical tests to validate proposed parameters
- Creation of understandable reports, visualizations, and decision templates
- Close collaboration with production and quality assurance to validate results and derive improvements
Your Profile
- Enrolled student (m/f/d) in a technical or scientific degree program, e.g.: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering
- Initial experience with data analysis and data visualization
- Interest in production processes, measurement systems, and quality assurance
- Structured and analytical approach to work
- High motivation to familiarize yourself with technical contexts
- Enjoyment of independent work – both on the PC and in manufacturing
