About the role
What you can expect
As a Product Manager within the Platform Cluster for our flagship product, LSEG Workspace, you will lead the evolution of our desktop platform, interoperability and core technical capabilities. Reporting to the Cluster Product Lead (Platform), you will provide product leadership for one or more squads made up of engineers and UX designers, working closely with architecture and engineering leadership. You will own and drive product strategy for critical platform capabilities that enable scalable, stable and secure growth of the LSEG Workspace ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering and architecture, requiring strong technical depth alongside a clear understanding of customer workflows and business outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Product Manager within our Workspace Platform Cluster, focusing on building and deploying core foundational capabilities for Workspace (e.g. Admin tools, Entitlements, SDK and Core services).
- Collaborate with Workspace platform and community teams to prioritise and develop product features with clear outcomes.
- Partner closely with engineering leads and architects to define and evolve platform architecture, APIs and shared services that support multiple products and squads.
- Drive requirements and prioritisation for non‑functional capabilities, including scalability, performance, reliability, resilience and security.
- Lead product discovery for platform initiatives, balancing customer needs, technical constraints and long‑term architectural direction.
- Translate platform strategy into clear, actionable epics, features and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can deliver against.
- Guide squads through the full product lifecycle, from early technical exploration and prototyping to production deployment and adoption.
- Actively participate in and contribute to agile ceremonies, ensuring high‑quality backlog refinement and predictable delivery.
- Align squad execution with agreed OKRs, platform principles and wider Workspace strategy.
- Define and monitor technical and product KPIs, including platform adoption, performance, stability and usage metrics.
- Act as a key point of contact between platform teams and consuming product teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
- Clearly communicate complex technical concepts and trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
What you’ll need
- More than 5 years of experience as a product manager with significant experience in technical or platform‑focused roles.
- Knowledge of building large‑scale client‑facing platforms and applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work deeply with engineering teams on architecture, APIs and system design decisions.
- Experience defining and prioritising non‑functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, resilience).
- Solid understanding of financial services workflows (Trading, Banking, Investment or Wealth Management) highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to evaluate technical trade‑offs and make data‑informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, able to influence and align senior engineers, architects and business stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in an agile / scrum environment and working across multiple squads and dependencies.
- A proactive, highly organised and collaborative working style.
Who you’ll be working with
UX, Software Engineers/Architects, Product Managers, Project / Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters, Technology Leaders, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success Managers.
