Business Insights Specialist

Within the Business Insights team, we are working to make data more accessible, understandable and relevant to the entire organisation. To accelerate this development, we are looking for a Business Insights Specialist who can translate data into concrete insights and thereby contribute to better decision-making within the Management Team and the organisation.

In this role, you will work alongside a small and experienced team, where you will have the opportunity to learn, make an impact and actively contribute to the further development of data within ista.

What you'll do

As a Business Insights Specialist, you will translate data into actionable insights and contribute to ista's ongoing data-driven development.

Business analysis & data (Power BI)

• You will develop and maintain dashboards and reports (primarily in Power BI).
• You will translate business queries from various departments into concrete data insights and reports.
• You will analyse data and formulate clear conclusions and recommendations.
• You will proactively provide insights that contribute to decision-making within the Management Team.
• Support the transformation of ista processes by providing relevant business insights.

Insights & organisation-wide support

• Carry out analyses in areas such as market development, competition, finance and HR.
• Identify trends and opportunities for improvement based on data.
• Automate and optimise reports that are currently still produced manually.
• You will contribute to making data accessible within the organisation.

PMO support & process improvement

• You will support projects and transformation initiatives with data and progress insights.
• You will collaborate with various departments on planning and progress monitoring.
• You will assist in implementing and embedding improvement initiatives within processes.

What we're looking for

• You have completed at least a higher national vocational education (HBO) degree, for example in Business Administration, Data, Finance or a similar field.
• You have at least two years' experience in data analysis and process optimisation.
• You preferably have experience with Power BI or similar analysis tools.
• You have strong analytical skills and know how to translate data into clear conclusions.
• You ask the right questions to identify needs and underlying issues.
• You build support for your analyses and know how to handle resistance.
• You work proactively and help to improve and streamline processes.
• You are interested in or open to using AI and new technologies to work more efficiently.
