Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking A&A Data Scientist/Analyst (AI/Automation) to support KDS and our government customer in Alexandria, VA. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a Remote opportunity, with occasional travel to the DC office required.

Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a skilled Data Scientist/Analyst with a strong DevSecOps background to support our program through advanced analytics and artificial intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in data science with cybersecurity knowledge to develop innovative approaches to security compliance automation. This position requires scripting experience, and expertise in GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement machine learning models for security control assessment
  • Utilize Gitlab and CI/CD for pipeline re-architecture support
  • Create predictive analytics solutions for risk management
  • Design and maintain data pipelines for security compliance metrics
  • Analyze security assessment data to identify patterns and trends
  • Develop automated reporting solutions for compliance status
  • Create visualization tools for security posture analysis
  • Build natural language processing solutions for documentation analysis

Education and Experience

Required

  • College degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics
  • 5+ years of experience in scripting
  • 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity or information security
  • Experience with machine learning and AI technologies
  • Current Security+ certification or equivalent

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages
  • Strong proficiency in CI/CD and GitLab
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling
  • Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Understanding of RMF and FISMA requirements
  • Proficiency in data preprocessing and cleaning
  • Knowledge of natural language processing
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
