Accountant – Wellington Duties & Responsibilities

Join a dynamic international trading environment We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, financial reporting, and international finance, with the ability to deliver accurate, timely financial information to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

• Prepare and review payments, manage remittances, and reconcile bank accounts

• Monitor cash flow and assist with liquidity planning

• Capture and review cost elements, standard cost adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations

• Support onboarding of new clients, vendors, and producers

• Compile and maintain various financial and management reports

Requirements

• Relevant Financial Degree (BCom Accounting / Financial Management or similar)

• Completed Articles or minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience

• Strong understanding of cost accounting and standard cost principles

• Advanced Excel and strong computer literacy essential

• Experience in an international trading or forex environment advantageous

• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
