About AXA Investment Managers

AXA Investment Managers is seeking a motivated Accountant (w/m/d) for an 18-month fixed-term contract to join their Accounting team. The ideal candidate is numbers-oriented and ideally has prior experience in financial accounting. As part of the team, you will be responsible for reviewing and timely providing accounting information and processes. A strong awareness of process, data management, and control is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support the preparation of group consolidation according to IFRS for quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements, including reconciliation with group companies.
  • Perform reporting according to statutory regulations KWG and InvG.
  • Prepare and execute necessary VAT pre-declarations for companies in Germany and Sweden.
  • Serve as a point of contact for accounting and ad-hoc queries from the Global Coda Support team, business units, and auditors.
  • Cash Management: Daily monitoring of current accounts and payment runs.
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Including issuing invoices, recharges, managing the customer base, and monitoring open items.
  • Assist with fixed asset accounting.
  • Assist with the booking of trailer fee processes.
  • Book payroll and travel expense data.
  • Book income, expenses, provisions, accruals, and pension obligations.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed a degree with a focus on Finance or similar.
  • Relevant professional experience and internships, preferably in the accounting department of a financial services provider (ideally in a regulated investment management company).
  • Ideally, initial experience with financial accounting software and consolidation packages; CODA and Magnitude are desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Competence in process and data management, with a focus on planning and meeting deadlines.
  • Very good German and English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
  • High resilience combined with a meticulous work approach.
  • Strong self-motivation and teamwork skills.
