Actuarial Data Scientist / Actuary / Mathematician in Pricing (w/m/d)

Employment Details

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Working Hours: 38 hours per week
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Start Date: Immediately

Responsibilities

• Development of modern actuarial models using data science and machine learning methods
• Analysis of large datasets for risk assessment and modeling to support informed and future-oriented business decisions
• Simulation of the effects of further developed tariffs
• Contribution of innovative ideas and participation in the continuous further development of our tariffs
• Collaboration with various teams to develop innovative insurance products and optimize existing processes
• Presentation of results and models to internal stakeholders and management

Requirements

• Completed Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Programming experience (e.g., Python or R) and confident use of machine learning methods
• Knowledge of property and casualty insurance is desirable
• Strong economic understanding and a feel for market-oriented tariffs
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving competence
• Independent, goal-oriented way of working with a high degree of personal responsibility and willingness to take ownership of projects and results
• Project management experience is an advantage
