Infrastructure Engineer (Advanced)

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (Advanced) to join a forward-thinking technology organisation building scalable, secure, and highly automated infrastructure solutions that support mission-critical digital platforms.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, automating everything possible, and working across cloud, Linux systems, and enterprise tooling to deliver robust and efficient platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles within a secure enterprise environment
• Create, manage, and operate Ansible Automation Platform objects including templates, credentials, and workflows
• Assist users with migrating automation workloads to Ansible Automation Platform
• Deploy, manage, and support workloads across AWS and Azure environments
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform
• Perform operating system and automation platform lifecycle management
• Manage version control and Git branching strategies using GitHub/Bitbucket
• Track and maintain Jira user stories to ensure timely delivery
• Forecast infrastructure, licensing, and resource requirements alongside product and line management
• Maintain operational stability and compliance with enterprise standards
• Ensure technical documentation and knowledge bases remain current and accurate
• Perform monitoring, housekeeping, performance optimization, and cost management of automation platforms
• Manage Incident, Problem, and Change processes within ITSM environments
• Coordinate external contractors and vendors
• Manage and remediate infrastructure security vulnerabilities
• Attend and facilitate operational meetings
• Participate in standby support and occasional weekend work when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in configuration management and automation
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in operating system administration

• Minimum 4 years’ experience working in Scrum/Agile teams
