Fathom Management LLC
About the role
About
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a senior AEM Solution Architect to evaluate and transform one of its most visible digital platforms: PA.gov.

- Highly customized
- Vendor-built
- Not fully transparent to internal teams
This role exists to:
- Bring clarity to the architecture

This is not a maintenance role-this is a platform transformation and advisory engagement.
What You'll Actually Be Doing

- Identifying over-customization, technical debt, and supportability risks
- Defining a future-state support model (internal vs vendor vs hybrid)

- Guiding architecture, governance, and transition execution
You will operate as both:

- Evaluate current vendor implementation and responsibilities

What Success Looks Like
By the end of this engagement:
- CODE PA has a clear, documented understanding of the AEM platform
- Platform risks and dependencies are identified and actionable
- A future-state support model is defined and approved
- A transition plan is underway
- Governance and architecture standards are established
- Knowledge is owned internally-not by vendors
Summary
This is a high-visibility, high-impact architecture role focused on transforming a critical government platform.
We are looking for an AEM expert who can assess, advise, and lead-someone who understands both how systems are built and how they should evolve.
