About
The Digital & IA department of Air Liquide IT was created to support the Group's data management ambitions, provide technological expertise for the development of new differentiating solutions for Air Liquide's business, with a particular focus on data-related topics.
Contribute to programs undertaken by Digital & IA by bringing your expertise in data engineering and Machine Learning to create and maintain data and AI.
As an AI & Data Engineer, specializing in Generative AI and integrated into a product squad, you will design, build, and optimize scalable, efficient, and reliable AI-based solutions for Air Liquide's businesses.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, data scientists, software developers, and product managers to integrate generative AI solutions into products.
- Deploy and optimize AI systems within the Air Liquide ecosystem, ensuring compliance with internal standards for infrastructure, data access policies, latency constraints, and performance KPIs.
- Optimize the reliability, latency, and costs of generative AI systems.
- Implement observability for LLM (Large Language Model) calls, including structured logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerts.
- Work closely with the AI Platform team to translate product needs into feature requests.
- Ensure training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing with other engineers within the team.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and teamwork to achieve sprint goals.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles, focused on deploying, monitoring, and scaling systems, is an asset.
- Demonstrated expertise in Python applied to data or AI projects.
- Experience with major cloud provider AI services.
- Prior experience in LLMs on system prompts and user prompts, tool and function calling, agent systems, or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
- Good level of English and French, both spoken and written.
The ideal candidate would have prior experience aligned with our technological environment, including:
- GCP (Google Cloud Platform) AI Services: Vertex AI, Agent Space, Gemini.
- Prisme.ai.

- Strong appetite for cross-functional collaboration, able to align closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions deliver real value.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with global teams and stakeholders.
- Strong ability to explain technical concepts and mentor junior/intermediate engineers.
