What will you do?

As an AI engineer at New Nexus, you will develop AI applications that help organizations accelerate and improve their services. You will translate raw data into working solutions: from reliable data pipelines to smart AI features that truly help users. You will experiment, quickly validate what works, and together with colleagues, elevate our data and AI stack to a higher level every sprint.

This means you will be responsible for, among other things:

• Developing AI solutions (such as LLM assistants and agents, recommenders, RAG) based on prototypes and making them production-ready.
• Designing and building scalable data pipelines and data models as a foundation for analytics and AI.
• MLOps: setting up monitoring (performance, data quality, costs) and continuously improving the solution with experiments.
• Collaborating with product and domain experts and engineers: from use case to product release.

Within New Nexus, you will be part of the AI Solutions team and work closely with colleagues from Software Solutions and Data Solutions. You will work for our clients, but also contribute to the continuous development and implementation of AI within our own organization. Additionally, you will help build the expansion of our AI solutions for the market.

What will you bring?

You get energized by learning new things, building, testing, and scaling when it works: POC today, production tomorrow. You understand software craftsmanship: Git, CI/CD, containers, and building neat APIs. You are curious about the core business and ambitions of our clients and can express yourself clearly. This enables you to uncover the underlying question and translate it into an effective and future-proof AI solution.

Additionally:

• You have at least 3 years of experience in data or software development;
• You are proficient in Python and SQL; experience with C# and cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) is a plus;
• You have skills in Machine Learning and AI or have a strong ambition to develop them further (LLMs, vector search, MLOps);
• And you have excellent command of the Dutch language.

• A salary typically ranging between 3,000 and 5,500 euros gross per month for a full-time employment, depending on your relevant experience and expertise. The exact amount will be agreed upon in consultation.
