AI Engineer / Data Scientist – Darmstadt (1 day per month) | Up to €100k - C1 German

In this role, you’ll work on modern GenAI and ML applications, helping clients improve business and production processes through innovative technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance machine learning and generative AI solutions using Python, modern AI/ML frameworks, and LLMs.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable AI use cases.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, model development, prototyping, and feasibility assessments.
• Integrate AI/ML components into existing systems, APIs, services, and pipelines.
• Support and improve MLOps and LLMOps workflows including CI/CD, monitoring, testing, and optimisation.
• Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and data pipelines.
• Contribute to digital transformation and process optimisation projects.
• Mentor team members and take ownership within projects (senior level)

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar.
• Experience in Data Science, AI Engineering, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C#, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning, GenAI, and related frameworks/tools.
• Interest in AI-assisted development practices.
• Experience with databases, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and modern data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of Docker, Git-based CI/CD, and MLOps principles.
• Strong communication skills in German and English.
