Internship Overview

Your Role
As an AI Engineer intern at Teradata, you'll have the opportunity to create innovative intelligent agents that reshape how users engage with data and automate workflows across various sectors, including healthcare, finance, and telecommunications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing high-performing and scalable software for model training.
- Implementing strategies to enhance training cycle performance for both SFT and RL.
- Supporting agent management and assessing open-source frameworks while developing logical data models and memory support.
- Contributing to low-code/no-code agent development and integrating external data sources for complex applications.
Collaborative Environment

Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in machine learning and experience fine‑tuning large language models.
- Solid programming skills in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks like JAX, PyTorch, and XLA/MLIR.
- Knowledge of advanced techniques for preparing AI training data.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience in post‑training models to achieve state‑of‑the‑art (SOTA) performance.
- Familiarity with designing and implementing large‑scale model training systems.
- Collaborative mindset, working alongside teams focused on pre‑training, reasoning, data, multimodal applications, and product development to enhance model capabilities.
Compensation
Hourly pay rate ranges from $29.00 to $50.00 depending on experience and location.
