AI & Machine Learning Engineer

Position Overview

Cisco is seeking an experienced AI & Machine Learning Engineer for a Contract-to-Hire role. Location: San Jose, California (Onsite). In this role, you will design, build, and deploy end-to-end machine learning pipelines, working closely with data, engineering, and business teams to solve complex problems using advanced AI and data science techniques. The opportunity is a 3-month Contract-to-Hire engagement with immediate availability preference and a mandatory background check and meet-and-greet process.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end machine learning pipelines

• Build, train, deploy, and monitor ML models in production

• Work with large datasets using Python and SQL

• Orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow

• Develop and manage ML workloads using Databricks

• Containerize applications using Docker

• Monitor system performance using Prometheus and Grafana

• Deliver innovative AI/ML solutions to complex business challenges

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist

• Strong expertise in Machine Learning and Data Science

• Hands-on experience with end-to-end ML pipelines

• Proficiency in Python and SQL

• Experience with Apache Airflow and Databricks

• Strong knowledge of Docker

• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Redshift)

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in large enterprise environments

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Experience delivering ML solutions in production systems

• Deploy ML solutions on AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Redshift)
