AI & Machine Learning Engineer - Computer Vision

Our client is at the forefront of AI innovation and is seeking a talented AI & Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Computer Vision to join our team. This hybrid role, based near Uyo, Akwa Ibom, NG , offers an exciting opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions for complex visual data problems. You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying machine learning models for image recognition, object detection, segmentation, and other computer vision tasks. This includes data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and integration into production systems. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to translate business requirements into effective AI solutions. A strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and programming skills is essential.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement machine learning models for computer vision applications. Collect, preprocess, and label large datasets for model training. Experiment with various deep learning architectures and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Evaluate model performance and optimize for accuracy, speed, and efficiency. Deploy machine learning models into production environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and requirements. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in AI and computer vision. Develop and maintain documentation for models, algorithms, and processes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to model performance and deployment. Contribute to the development of our AI platform and infrastructure. Candidates must possess a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field. A strong portfolio of computer vision projects is highly desirable. Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, with a specific focus on computer vision, is required. Proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries (e.g., OpenCV, scikit-learn) is mandatory. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
