Your Role

Sovereign AI platforms are the foundation for secure and powerful AI applications. As an AI Platform Engineer (m/f/d), you will shape the technical basis for LLM inference, data/vector stores, and modern AI workloads – automated, scalable, and compliant. This position can be filled full-time or part-time.

• You will design, automate, and operate AI platforms with Kubernetes, IaC, and GitOps – from network & security to CI/CD.
• You will integrate and configure AI components (e.g., LLM Serving, RAG Pipelines, Vector Databases) and optimize performance & costs.
• You will be responsible for observability (monitoring/logging/tracing) and security (secrets, certificates, SSO/IAM, hardening) for production environments.
• You will work closely with DevOps, architects, and AI teams and make technological decisions about platform components.
• You will build and further develop the managed service for platform operations (SLIs/SLOs, on-call, incident processes) with us.

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in DevSecOps/Platform Engineering in production environments; automation is in your blood.
• Very good knowledge of Kubernetes, Python, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) including GitOps workflows.
• Practical experience in operating distributed systems, including multi-service orchestration (e.g., reverse proxies), observability, and security hardening.
• Initial or in-depth experience with AI platform components: LLM inference (e.g., vLLM/Triton), RAG, vector databases, and frameworks (e.g., Langchain, Pydantic, FastAPI).
• Motivation to actively shape sovereign AI platforms and quickly learn new technologies; German & English at least C1 level.
