AI Platform Engineer (m/w/d) - J36172

Overview

You will work in an agile development team on modern AI platforms and shape the practical use of large language models. You will be given a lot of freedom for technical decisions, your own experiments, and the choice of your work environment. In your daily work, you will rely on current LLM technologies and web backends and can develop professionally quickly. The role offers flat structures, short coordination paths, and the opportunity to transform innovative prototypes into productive solutions.

Your Tasks

• Develop integrations and interfaces for LLM technologies and agent architectures, e.g. OpenAI GPT and LLM APIs
• Implement backend components with common languages and frameworks such as Python, TypeScript, FastAPI or Node.js
• Conceive and implement retrieval and RAG pipelines using vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate or FAISS
• Build robust tool-calling and function-calling mechanisms for agent scenarios
• Optimize performance and costs of model interfaces through test and monitoring strategies
• Work closely with product and UX to translate technical concepts into user-centric solutions
• Document architectural decisions and create clear status and project reports

Your Profile

• Completed studies in computer science, data science or a related field
• Very good knowledge of Python or TypeScript and practical experience with web backends
• Initial experience with LLMs, LLM APIs and agent/context architectures
• Knowledge of concepts for vector search, retrieval-augmented generation and relevant databases
• Enjoys working independently, is eager to experiment and solution-oriented
• Very good German language skills and good communication skills
