About the role
The Opportunity:
As an AI Security Solutions Engineer, you will have a pivotal role in crafting and deploying secure architectures for artificial intelligence and machine learning systems throughout the organization. This position merges the realms of cybersecurity and AI engineering, ensuring that AI models, data pipelines, and the underlying infrastructure are safeguarded against various threats, including data poisoning, model inversion, prompt injection, and adversarial attacks.
Your influence will be vital in determining enterprise AI security strategies, developing frameworks for secure model deployment, ensuring compliance with evolving AI regulations, and integrating security-by-design principles into every AI initiative.
You Bring:
- Over 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, systems architecture, or software engineering with a focus on AI/ML solution design.
- More than 3 years of experience in the design, deployment, and security of AI/ML pipelines, which includes model training, inference, and performance monitoring.
- Proficiency with large language model platforms and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI Service, Amazon Bedrock) and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers.
- Experience with data engineering and analytics platforms including Databricks, Apache Spark, Snowflake, and Apache Iceberg.
- Familiarity with ML orchestration and serving platforms like Amazon SageMaker, Vertex AI, MLFlow, and Kubeflow.
- Knowledge of AI security controls, particularly data provenance, model integrity, and supply chain risk management.
- Experience in incorporating AI into operational workflows such as SOC automation and threat detection.
- Understanding of AI governance frameworks and the principles of DoD Responsible AI.
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of supporting missions related to the DoD, Intelligence Community, or federal civilian agencies.
- Experience in IL5, IL6, or IL7 environments.
- Background in developing AI-enabled defensive cyber capabilities (e.g., automated triage, detection engineering).
- Experience securing large language models and agentic AI systems.
- Familiarity with MLOps or AIOps practices including model versioning and drift detection.
- Experience with stream processing platforms like Cribl, Kafka, or Flink for real-time AI data ingestion.
- Knowledge in data governance for AI training data in multi-classification settings.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Cybersecurity, or Engineering.
- Relevant DoD 8140 Certification such as Security+, CISSP, CASP+, or CCSP.
Clearance:
Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for accessing classified information.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $99,000 to $225,000 annually, depending on various factors including location, education, and experience.
