AI/ML Engineer - Deep Learning Specialist

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative AI/ML Engineer specializing in Deep Learning to join their cutting-edge team. This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of remote work and in-office collaboration in Maiduguri, Borno . You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning models and AI solutions. Your work will focus on areas such as computer vision, natural language processing, and predictive analytics, leveraging state-of-the-art deep learning frameworks. You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to translate complex business problems into AI-powered solutions. This role requires a strong theoretical foundation in AI/ML, practical experience with deep learning architectures, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence. You will contribute to research and development efforts, staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and train deep learning models for various applications. Develop and optimize machine learning algorithms and pipelines. Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation. Deploy ML models into production environments, ensuring scalability and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI project requirements. Conduct research on new AI techniques and technologies. Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning research papers. Develop robust code with clear documentation and testing. Contribute to the development of AI strategy and roadmap. Troubleshoot and debug AI/ML systems. Present findings and model performance to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field. Proven experience in developing and deploying deep learning models (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, Transformers). Proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn). Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms, statistics, and mathematics. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for ML workloads. Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment. Experience with big data technologies is a plus.
