About the role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled AI/ML Engineer to join their cutting-edge team focused on predictive modeling and emerging technologies. This role is based in **Kano, Kano, NG**, and requires hands-on development and implementation of advanced artificial intelligence solutions. You will be at the forefront of innovation, designing, building, and deploying machine learning models that drive significant business insights and product enhancements. The ideal candidate has a strong theoretical background in AI/ML and practical experience in building scalable models.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement machine learning algorithms and predictive models for various business applications. Process, clean, and transform large datasets to prepare them for model training and evaluation. Build and maintain data pipelines for machine learning workflows. Train, test, and validate machine learning models, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy. Deploy machine learning models into production environments, collaborating with software engineers. Monitor model performance in production and implement retraining or fine-tuning as needed. Stay current with the latest research and advancements in AI, machine learning, and deep learning. Collaborate with data scientists, domain experts, and product managers to define project requirements and deliverables. Communicate complex technical findings and model insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for AI/ML development within the organization. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field. Proven experience (3+ years) in developing and deploying machine learning models. Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy). Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and deep learning architectures. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for ML workloads is a plus. Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
