Job Summary

The intern will support GE Vernova’s Critical Infrastructure Communications (CIC) portfolio within Grid Automation. The role will focus on Deployment and operation of COE Portfolio Showroom Platform for CIC wireless and optical communication solutions. Outside the focus on the COE platform, the intern is expected to assist and participate in Product management project/initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the COE subject matter experts to deploy and operate the COE Showroom in Massy.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis for CIC solutions.
• Support business case development for emerging technologies (e.g., private LTE/5G, Grid Edge Communications, Digital services).
• Assist with go-to-market planning and solution positioning.
• Translate technical features into customer value propositions.
• Prepare executive-ready reports and presentations with recommendations.

Project Outcomes

• Operational COE Platform with working use cases from substation to control center side.
• Market assessment report identifying customer needs, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.
• Business development framework or business case for at least one CIC solution area.
• Final presentation to GA leadership summarizing findings and actionable recommendations.

Primary Skills Developed

• Hands-on experience in deploying and configuring CIC Optical and Radio portfolio products.
• Market and competitive analysis in critical infrastructure communications.
• Business case and financial modeling for product management.
• Customer-centric solution positioning and value proposition design.

Knowledge

Languages

• Required: English
• Appreciated: English, French

Technical Knowledge

• Required: Telecommunication principles, Networking principles
• Appreciated: Some knowledge of Optical / wireless technology (MPLS, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc.) preferred

Soft Skills

• Must be highly self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently with cross-functional teams

Training

• Desired level of study/degree prepared: Currently pursuing a Telecom Engineering Degree
• Training Area/Specialty: Telecom Engineering
