About the role
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Analyst to manage, develop, and run the Power BI reporting environment. The role will be responsible for integrating data from internal and external sources (including recently acquired companies), data quality, model and data warehouse maintenance, and delivering high-quality dashboards and insights for finance, commercial, and senior leadership. The role sits within the FP&A function but works cross-functionally with Finance, IT, commercial teams, and external consultants. This is an operational role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, defining structures, and building sustainable processes in a growing, multi-entity business context.
Responsibilities
Power BI and Reporting Ownership
- Manage the Power BI environment end-to-end, including models, dashboards, and reports.
- Design, build, and maintain KPI dashboards for finance, commercial, and leadership.
- Translate business requirements into clear, intuitive reports and analytical insights.
- Ensure consistency of metrics, definitions, and reporting logic across the model and data warehouse.
- Drive data integration from source systems into the Power BI model and data warehouse.
- Support the onboarding and integration of recently acquired companies into the reporting environment.
- Work closely with IT and other departments to map sources, define structures, and improve data quality.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, implementing controls and checks where required.
- Contribute to defining and documenting definitions, reporting standards, and processes.
- Establish robust and scalable processes for data refresh and reporting.
Business Partnering and Communication
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders in finance, commercial, and leadership.
- Communicate complex topics clearly to a non-technical audience.
- Collaborate with external consultants and vendors supporting BI or systems.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis, deep dives, and insights to support decision-making.
Project Management
- Manage multiple data and reporting projects in parallel, including implementation and enhancement projects.
- Plan and monitor timelines, priorities, and dependencies to ensure delivery against agreed milestones.
- Conduct regular meetings and provide clear progress updates to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and blockers, working with relevant teams to resolve them efficiently.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Solid hands-on experience with Power BI (report development, modeling, DAX, Power Query).
- Proven experience working with large data volumes from diverse sources and mapping across different systems.
- Solid understanding of data quality and governance processes.
- Ability to take ownership of end-to-end reporting processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.
- Organized, structured, and process-oriented approach to work.
- Experience supporting finance, FP&A, or performance management teams.
- Proficiency in English; French/German language skills are a plus.
Desirable
- Experience working with or alongside a data warehouse.
- Exposure to the healthcare or life sciences industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL or similar query languages.
- Experience working in multi-entity, acquisition-heavy, or fast-growing environments and ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and reliability.
- Solution-oriented mindset, able to improve imperfect environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate across finance, commercial, and IT teams.
