About
The Data Platform Directorate's mandate is to deploy innovative capabilities supporting the transformation towards a data-centric organization. Functional analysts operate in an Azure cloud environment, relying on Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Configuration-as-Code (CaC), and Continuous Deployment (CD).
They are responsible for translating business needs into detailed functional and non-functional specifications, enabling the development, configuration, and evolution of analytical solutions. They also contribute to the quality strategy and its application in medium to large-scale contexts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with solution architects, business analysts, product owners, and testing managers.
- Produce and document application and system specifications.
- Participate in defining scopes (stories, releases, sprints, tests, projects).
- Perform integration of solution components and analyze impacts on existing systems.
- Contribute to the testing strategy, requirements coverage, execution, and validation of results.
- Ensure the quality of migrations in the acceptance environment.
- Transfer knowledge to application support and maintenance teams.
- Analyze and resolve complex anomalies.
- Maintain functional and testing documentation.
Work Environment
Analysts work within an agile and multidisciplinary team, responsible for writing specifications, functional analysis, and designing and executing automated and manual tests. They address complex issues requiring a deep understanding of the data platform and its integration into the technological ecosystem.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, business intelligence, data science, or equivalent
- 3 to 7 years of experience in functional analysis, advanced analytics, BI, or AI
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Splunk, Log Analytics, Dynatrace)
- Knowledge of access models (RBAC, ABAC)
- Familiarity with Agile methods and tools
- ISTQB and Azure certifications (an asset)
- Experience in governance or self-service projects (an asset)
- Exposure to ODS, real-time, or near real-time solutions (an asset)

- Mastery of ETL tools and data pipelines (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse)
- Excellent knowledge of SQL (MS SQL Server)

Additional Details on the Need
The profile sought must have strong technical expertise in AI on Azure, including a good understanding of the infrastructure required to support artificial intelligence capabilities. The following knowledge is particularly sought:
- Azure Machine Learning
- Azure OpenAI
- Cognitive Services
- Azure Search
The objective is not to develop the chatbots themselves, but to design, configure, and support the infrastructure that will host various AI solutions.
Knowledge of Databricks in AI contexts is a major asset.
