Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Android HMI Engineer to join our team working on next-generation In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems. As part of the AOSP-based automotive HMI team, you will be responsible for developing and integrating HMI layers that deliver rich, interactive, and responsive in-car user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement HMI layers and features on Android Automotive / AOSP.
  • Develop and customize Android applications, services, and system components.
  • Collaborate with the design team to review UI/UX and provide technical suggestions.
  • Interface with middleware and HAL components to integrate vehicle data.
  • Optimize performance, memory usage, and boot time of HMI applications.
  • Debug and resolve issues related to existing and upcoming HMI applications.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including platform, QA, design, and customers.

Required Skills

  • Strong development experience with Android Framework, AOSP, and Android SDK.
  • Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
  • Experience with HMI architecture in Automotive IVI projects.
  • Good understanding of Android application lifecycle, services, broadcasts, and content providers.
  • Hands‑on experience with Git, Android Soong, and Gradle build systems.
  • Understanding of Vehicle HAL (VHAL) in Android Automotive.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN/LIN.
  • Familiarity with performance profiling tools, Logcat, ADB, and system debugging tools.

Soft Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related
