Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Android HMI Engineer to join our team working on next-generation In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems. As part of the AOSP-based automotive HMI team, you will be responsible for developing and integrating HMI layers that deliver rich, interactive, and responsive in-car user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement HMI layers and features on Android Automotive / AOSP.
- Develop and customize Android applications, services, and system components.
- Collaborate with the design team to review UI/UX and provide technical suggestions.
- Interface with middleware and HAL components to integrate vehicle data.
- Optimize performance, memory usage, and boot time of HMI applications.
- Debug and resolve issues related to existing and upcoming HMI applications.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including platform, QA, design, and customers.
Required Skills
- Strong development experience with Android Framework, AOSP, and Android SDK.
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
- Experience with HMI architecture in Automotive IVI projects.
- Good understanding of Android application lifecycle, services, broadcasts, and content providers.
- Hands‑on experience with Git, Android Soong, and Gradle build systems.
- Understanding of Vehicle HAL (VHAL) in Android Automotive.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN/LIN.
- Familiarity with performance profiling tools, Logcat, ADB, and system debugging tools.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good communication and collaboration skills while working with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced and evolving environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related
