Backend Developer Intern

We are a growing healthcare technology startup building scalable, secure, and user-friendly platforms. Our mission is to simplify healthcare access and employee benefits management through technology.

Internship Details • Duration: 6 months • Location: Remote (Work from Home) • Type: Internship (with potential for full-time opportunity based on performance) • Stipend: ₹10,000 / month

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Backend Developer Intern, you will: • Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Python & Django. • Work with SQL & relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) for data modeling and management. • Build and document RESTful APIs to integrate with frontend applications and third-party services. • Implement authentication, authorization, and secure data handling practices. • Debug, test, and deploy backend features in a collaborative team environment. • Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to deliver features on time. • Learn and follow best practices in version control (Git), code reviews, and CI/CD workflows. • Develop admin dashboards using Django Templates

Required Skills • Strong knowledge of Python and Django framework. • Good understanding of SQL & DBMS concepts (PostgreSQL/MySQL). • Familiarity with REST API development. • Good knowledge of Django migrations. • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (for API testing, creating dashboards & integration support). • Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and MVC/MVT architecture. • Problem-solving skills and ability to write clean, maintainable code.

Bonus Skills • Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF). • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or deployment tools (Heroku, Docker). • Knowledge of caching, Redis, or Celery. • Familiarity with unit testing & pytest. • Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger/Postman). • Basic knowledge of security best practices (OWASP, HTTPS, JWT, OAuth2).
