We’re looking for a highly skilled Applications Solution Architect to act as the technical bridge between vendors, business stakeholders, and infrastructure delivery teams. In this role, you’ll design, guide, and oversee the delivery of robust, scalable technical solutions aligned with IM governance, architectural standards, and business needs.

This is a Hybrid contracting role for an individual that has 5 – 10 years experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

As the Applications Solution Architect, you will:

• Lead solution design for business demands and retrospective solutions.
• Coordinate all technical build activities during execution and delivery phases.
• Own and develop the technical documentation required for Service Introduction and operational handover.
• Provide expert technical guidance and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project planning and resource estimation from a technical perspective.
• Lead or support vendor-led agile sprints where required.

Requirements

Experience & Knowledge Required

You’ll be successful in this role if you bring:

• A strong background in application and cloud-based infrastructure architecture.
• Knowledge of mining technical systems and operational technology.
• Significant experience in system integration, especially between source systems and reporting layers.
• Comfort working in evolving, fast-paced environments.
• A good understanding of the mining value chain and related business processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to convert business needs into practical, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent proven experience in Solution Architecture.
• Experience in Data Architecture (advantageous).
• Relevant certifications, such as:
  • TOGAF
  • Microsoft Azure certifications
  • or other recognized solution architecture certifications.

• Strong organisational skills and excellent technical documentation capability.
• Ability to prioritise and multitask across multiple initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High proficiency in Excel and broad technical literacy.
