Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer 2

Role Overview & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven automation solutions tailored to public sector use cases (e.g., citizen services, document processing, compliance workflows).
• Build and operationalize Generative AI systems, including custom GPTs, agentic workflows, and domain-specific copilots.
• Develop and manage end-end ML/AI pipelines, including data ingestion, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate directly with customers to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Ensure solutions meet public sector standards for security, privacy, governance, and ethical AI usage.
• Experience in Data science algorithms – Supervised, Unsupervised, Neural Networks and other flows.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LlamaIndex) and custom GPT development.
• Proficiency in machine learning fundamentals, including supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and lifecycle management.
• Experience building agentic AI systems (ex: Azure Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Snowflake Cortex, multi-step reasoning, tool use, autonomous workflows).
• Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), Vector DB arechitecture.
• Solid programming skills in Python and/or R and experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including MLOps tooling.

Customer Engagement & Training

• Serve as a technical liaison to public sector customers, translating business needs into AI-enabled solutions.
• Conduct workshops, training sessions, and enablement programs for non-technical and technical stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on AI adoption strategies, including responsible AI, governance, and change management.
• Support pilot implementations, proofs of concept (POCs), and scaling of successful AI initiatives.
• Develop clear documentation, playbooks, and best practices for AI system usage and maintenance.

Experience & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or automation-focused roles.
• Demonstrated experience delivering production-grade AI/ML or GenAI solutions in enterprise or public sector environments.
• Experience managing the AI/ML lifecycle, including versioning, monitoring, retraining, and performance optimization.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact directly with customers.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
