Associate AI Scientist

About the Role

As an AI Scientist at SAP, you will work with a team of highly technical and motivated developers to collaborate and work with teams spread across geographies and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Working on the entire lifecycle of development projects, both customer specific and SAP-defined.
• Analyzing and specifying customer-specific business requirements, designing, implementing, maintaining, and operating customer-specific solutions, including deploying AI models into production systems to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Adhering to SAPs agile engineering practices and processes, owning your code from ideation to development, testing, and support.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in Gen AI, machine learning, mentor team members, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in any one area of AI/ML streams such as Predictive analytics, Speech processing, Text Analytics/NLP, Computer Vision, Machine Translation, or generative AI.
• Hands-on experience with Python, R & SQL, good knowledge of Generative AI, and understanding recent advances in Large Language Models are required.
• Programming skills in Python and proficiency in machine learning libraries like scikit-learn, Hugging Face, Langchain, and PyTorch.
• Experience working on cloud platforms and ML frameworks such as SAP BTP, AWS Sagemaker, MLFlow, Weights and Biases is preferred.
• Continuous enhancement of existing skills and seeking newer areas for personal development, as well as strong communication skills, are essential for this role.
