Your role

As an Associate Director Data Science (m/f/d), you will not only shape the future of our data-driven solutions but also lead and develop a highly qualified team of Data Scientists. You are the driving force behind our innovation agenda, ensuring that we generate maximum value for our clients through data-driven approaches and further expand our market position.

• Team Leadership & Development: You lead, motivate, and develop a team of Data Scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
• Stakeholder Management & Consulting: As the central point of contact for internal departments and top clients, you translate complex data science insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Project & Portfolio Management: You oversee your team's project portfolio, ensure adherence to schedules and budgets, and prioritize initiatives based on their business impact.
• Innovation & Research: You actively monitor market trends and scientific developments in the Data Science field and drive the transfer of research findings into practice.
• Quality Assurance & Governance: Establishing and monitoring quality standards for our Data Science projects is as much a part of your role as ensuring compliance with relevant data governance policies.
• Strategic Alignment: As the driving force of our innovation agenda, you ensure that we generate maximum value for our clients through data-driven approaches and further expand our market position.

What makes you stand out

• Comprehensive Experience: You have at least 5+ years of professional experience in Data Science, including at least 2-3 years in a leadership position with personnel responsibility.
• Excellent Technical Skills: Your expertise in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch), SQL, and the development and implementation of Machine Learning models is well-founded and practically proven.
• Cloud Expertise: You have demonstrable experience with cloud computing platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including ML services and data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery).
• Leadership Competence: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams to achieve top performance characterize you.
• Communication & Presentation Skills: Your excellent communication skills enable you to present complex models to technical teams as well as provide strategic advice to executives and clients.
• Strategic Thinking & Business Acumen: The ability to understand complex business challenges and develop data-driven solutions that create measurable added value completes your profile.
