About the Role
The Omnichannel Center of Excellence is focused on driving innovation and delivering capabilities that enhance our ability to impact the lives of those we serve. We are seeking an Omnichannel Data Scientist, specializing in Medical Omnichannel, with expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data mining. In this role, you will conceptualize, prototype, and develop advanced analytics decision engines and services, working closely with stakeholders to align analytical strategies with business goals to improve interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
Job Responsibilities:
Data Integration & Management • Analyze pharmaceuticals data such as claims and EHR input, collaborating with data engineers to integrate diverse data sources for a comprehensive view of stakeholder interactions. • Utilize natural language processing (NLP) to extract actionable insights from unstructured medical texts. • Identify features that inform decision-making strategies and create visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
Advanced Analytics & Modeling • Implement predictive analytics and clustering models to derive insights and track trends across channels. • Collaborate with engineers to deploy models that optimize sales activities and predict customer behavior. • Create adaptable models that can be integrated into data products and align with Otsuka's evolving portfolio. • Engage in MLOPS lifecycle management, ensuring model traceability and collaboration with the tech stack including AWS and Snowflake.
Omnichannel Optimization • Design recommendation systems that personalize communications based on stakeholder behaviors and preferences. • Assess the effectiveness of various communication strategies using A/B testing to refine engagement approaches.
Stakeholder Collaboration • Communicate analytical methodologies to business partners to support strategic objectives. • Work closely with marketing, IT, and medical affairs to integrate omnichannel strategies effectively. • Stay current with industry trends and nurture partnerships to enhance our analytics capabilities. • Exemplify Otsuka's core values through accountability, strategic thinking, customer centricity, impactful communication, and collaborative respect.
Minimum Qualification: • Bachelor's degree in data sciences, computer science, or a related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Experience with data analytics algorithms and familiarity with tools such as Python, R, or SAS. • Knowledge of machine learning applications in life sciences and handling relevant datasets. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams. • Comprehensive understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, including model deployment and performance monitoring. • Experience in Agile methodology. • Experience in the healthcare industry is an advantage.

Salary Range: Minimum $169,222.00 - Maximum $253,000.00, plus potential incentives, based on experience and internal benchmarks.
