The Associate Director of CyberSecurity Engineering will spearhead our enterprise Privileged Access Management (PAM) program. This role focuses on enhancing privileged account security, vaulting, and governance across diverse environments, including cloud, on-premises, and subsidiaries. You will play a crucial part in advancing PAM strategy and ensuring robust privileged controls organization-wide. This leadership position demands strong technical expertise, operational excellence, and collaboration across various functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire your team members, promoting a culture of excellence, service, and accountability.
  • Drive the enterprise privileged cloud migration (Pcloud), overseeing planning, stakeholder engagement, change management, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Establish a repeatable framework for onboarding subsidiaries and addressing any posture gaps in privileged access.
  • Manage high-risk privileged access reduction initiatives with an emphasis on executing effective organizational change management.
  • Collaborate across engineering, security, and business teams to eliminate blockers, enhance privileged access design, and implement consistent governance controls.
  • Create a cohesive application onboarding experience for PAM, including playbooks, checklists, and guidance on privilege mapping.
  • Develop VP-level privileged access scorecards and incorporate PAM metrics into enterprise Problem Management to track incidents related to privileged misuse.
  • Act as a key liaison with Risk and Compliance partners, addressing audit findings and enhancing controls.
  • Support operational processes like vendor renewals, case management, program reporting, and on-call escalation duties.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging PAM technologies, and regulatory requirements related to privileged access security.

Essential Qualifications

  • 7+ years in technical leadership roles managing complex cybersecurity or IAM programs.
  • Experience leading PAM engineering or operations teams and delivering enterprise-level privileged access solutions.
  • Deep understanding of privileged access concepts such as vaulting, rotation, service accounts, and elevated-access governance.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory/Entra ID, various operating systems, and cloud privileged access methodologies.
  • Proven success in modernization initiatives and reducing high-risk privileged access.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Collaborative problem-solving and solution delivery skills.
  • Willingness to participate in and manage on-call support for PAM services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or CISM.
  • Experience managing projects using agile and waterfall methodologies; project management certifications like PMP or CSM are a plus.
  • Experience in financial planning and management for technology and staffing resources.

Remote Work Requirements

  • Must have access to high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. For employees in California, internet expenses may be reimbursed.
  • A minimum standard speed of 25Mbps download and 10Mbps upload is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet services are not permitted for this position.
  • A dedicated, quiet workspace is necessary to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel

Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $156,600 - $215,400, which may vary based on location, skills, experience, and other factors.

This role is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
