Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate in Finance, located in Nagpur. The Associate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, financial reporting, monitoring budgets, and assisting in financial planning. They will analyze financial data to derive insights, support decision-making, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. The role also includes collaborating with internal teams to maintain transparency in financial processes and preparing detailed reports to facilitate audits and organizational strategies.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Manage vendor payments and staff reimbursements on a day to day basis.
  • Ensure that all supporting documentation for payments is complete, accurate, and properly authorised as per the organization’s delegation matrix.
  • Prepare quarterly utilization reports for Nagpur schools and other city budget owners and discuss variances and trends with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with the school admins to support them in managing school expenses and enabling accurate accounting of the same.
  • Visit schools on a regular basis to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the stakeholders in the schools.
  • Maintain an updated and accurate Fixed Asset Register (FAR) for all Nagpur schools including ensuring assets are appropriately tagged by School Admins.
  • Assist in compiling data and documentation for internal, statutory, and donor audits.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the efficient functioning of the Finance department.

What You Need for This Position

  • Graduation in Commerce or Accounting.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in finance and accounting; experience in a non-profit organization will be preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Income Tax, PF, PT, TDS and other statutory compliances applicable to non-government organizations.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as ERP systems, along with strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and changing requirements.
  • Good communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Renumeration

4-4.5 Lakh Per Annum.
