In this early-career presales role you support the sales team by translating customer needs into practical technology solutions. You will learn to design and position solutions across datacenter, networking, security, and services, collaborating with teammates and customers. You gain hands-on exposure to demos, labs, and proofs‑of‑concept while building core vendor knowledge. This remote position requires residing in the Boston, MA area. You help shape proposals and technical documentation while growing your presales expertise.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Executives and Solutions Engineers during the presales process
• Participate in customer discovery calls to understand business and technical requirements
• Assist with the design of solutions across datacenter, networking, security, and services
• Prepare technical documentation, diagrams, and solution summaries for proposals
• Set up and assist with product demonstrations, labs, and PoC environments
• Learn and explain core vendor technologies with guidance from team
• Assist in responding to technical questionnaires
• Collaborate with internal delivery and services teams on implementation approaches
• Maintain clear documentation of customer requirements and proposed solutions
• Actively build technical knowledge and presales skills through training and hands-on experience

Requirements

• Experience in complex Data Center sales opportunities - Intermediate
• Ability to design data center infrastructures including hybrid cloud, SDDC, IaaS, automation, containers, and DCMS - Intermediate
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, hypervisors, server virtualization, SDDC, containers, and automation - Basic
• Ability to communicate and sell complex technical products by understanding customer needs and articulating value - Intermediate
• Expertise in Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, Nutanix - Intermediate
• Experience with Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and High Availability solutions - Intermediate
• Completed Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events
• Advanced certifications in listed technologies preferred: Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, Nutanix
