Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Architect to drive the design, development, and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java-based automation, hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript, and a solid understanding of modern QA practices. Familiarity with emerging Gen AI concepts in testing will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and architecture of robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks. - Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java, Playwright, and TypeScript. - Define automation strategies, best practices, and coding standards across projects. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Development, DevOps, and Product Management. - Drive test automation for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end workflows. - Ensure integration of automation suites with CI/CD pipelines. - Mentor and guide QA engineers, conducting code reviews and ensuring quality deliverables. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with teams for resolution. - Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for continuous improvement. - Explore and implement use cases leveraging Generative AI (Gen AI) for test optimization, test data generation, and intelligent test maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation. - Solid programming expertise in Java. - Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript for UI automation. - Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch. - Solid understanding of OOPs concepts, design patterns, and clean coding practices. - Experience with API testing (REST, SOAP) and tools like Postman or RestAssured. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. - Experience with version control systems (Git). - Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.

Preferred / Good to Have:

- Exposure to Gen AI concepts and tools (e.g., AI-assisted test generation, test case optimization). - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Knowledge of performance testing tools is a plus. - Experience in containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes. - Understanding of security testing basics.
