About the role

Our client, a forward-thinking automotive technology company, is seeking a talented Automotive AI and Machine Learning Engineer to join their fully remote, dynamic engineering team. This role is at the forefront of innovation, focusing on developing intelligent systems for next-generation vehicles. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and deploying advanced AI and ML models for applications such as autonomous driving, driver assistance systems, predictive maintenance, and in-car experience enhancement. The ideal candidate has a robust background in machine learning, deep learning, and their application within the automotive domain.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement cutting-edge AI and ML algorithms for automotive applications, including perception, prediction, and planning. Design, train, and validate deep learning models using large-scale datasets. Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate ML models into vehicle systems. Optimize ML models for real-time performance and resource-constrained embedded systems. Conduct research into new AI/ML techniques and their potential applications in the automotive industry. Analyze vehicle data to identify trends, improve model accuracy, and derive actionable insights. Work with simulation environments to test and refine AI algorithms. Contribute to the development of robust testing and validation strategies for AI systems. Stay current with advancements in AI, ML, and automotive technology. Document designs, algorithms, and results clearly and comprehensively. Qualifications: Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field. Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning and deep learning models. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and associated ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Experience with data processing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques. Familiarity with computer vision, sensor fusion, and reinforcement learning concepts. Understanding of automotive systems and the challenges of real-world deployment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for a remote team environment. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for ML model training is a plus.
