AWS Cloud Engineer

About

You will manage the migration of on-premises Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS RDS and convert specific databases to PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Migrate on-premises Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS RDS environments.
• Convert existing databases to PostgreSQL formats.
• Collaborate with in-house database support teams to ensure smooth transitions.
• Configure and maintain AWS RDS instances.
• Utilize migration tools to execute data transfers and schema conversions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database migration and cloud engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with AWS Database Migration Service and Schema Conversion Tool.
• Working knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Ability to perform in-person interviews in Chelsea, MA.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Database Specialty certification.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
