Azure Cloud Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Azure Cloud Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design, build, and operate enterprise‑grade cloud platforms. The role is hands‑on, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and working knowledge of AWS, supporting scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure (primary)
• Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC)
• Azure services: Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS, Networking, Storage, Identity (Entra ID)
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
• CI/CD: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Git workflows
• Containers & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
• Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Monitoring & operations: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics (or equivalent)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure primarily on Azure, with some workloads on AWS.
• Build and manage cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Bicep / ARM).
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Deploy and operate Azure services across compute, networking, storage, identity, and platform layers.
• Ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, availability, and performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and infrastructure issues; perform root‑cause analysis.
• Optimize environments for cost, performance, and reliability using cloud‑native tools.
• Contribute to technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers as a senior IC.

Mandatory Skills and Skill Proficiency

• Microsoft Azure
• Azure services: Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS, Networking, Storage, Identity (Entra ID)
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
• Azure or AWS certifications
• Experience in regulated or large enterprise environments
• 10+ years of IT experience, with 7+ years in cloud engineering roles
• Proven experience supporting enterprise and production environments
