About the role
As an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, your role will involve ensuring project and product teams implement lean, robust, and secure IT service infrastructure. You will collaborate with technology, operations, security, and compliance teams to provide guidance aligned with industry best practices and corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Design cloud infrastructure services for large Azure cloud migration, new products, and change initiatives in collaboration with cloud engineering teams - Design target cloud architecture and determine Azure services and infrastructure needed to support migration - Provide input into governance processes to ensure appropriate technology choices - Communicate and justify infrastructure strategy and direction across the organization, especially with technical and compliance teams - Contribute to technical standards and templates - Work with client architects to develop migration strategies - Collaborate with stakeholders to address concerns and ensure proper configuration of cloud services - Plan testing, validation, and fine-tuning of cloud services as resources migrate to Azure - Use Azure Boards for project planning and task management - Setup Azure CI/CD pipelines - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes containers and clusters, Helm charts is a plus - Understanding and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies like ARM, Bicep, Terraform is a plus
Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience implementing complex IT systems on Azure public cloud - Proven experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure on Azure - Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience migrating IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS workloads - Experience configuring Azure Migrate tool - Knowledge of Cloud Adoption Framework migration methodology - Understanding of Well Architected Framework for architecture and landing zones - Experience driving technical architecture principles, policies, and guidelines during project delivery - Excellent understanding of reference architecture - Hands-on experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery practices, including DR testing and cut-over processes - Experience working with Azure public cloud services, preferably in regulated environments - Azure or InfoSec certifications are a bonus - Knowledge of security controls frameworks such as CIS, OWASP, PCI-DSS - Understanding of software development lifecycle and hands-on experience with agile methodologies - Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to drive change
